Chapter six was confusing and i really just didn't understand what was going. On page twenty three and the bottom of the first paragraph it says "he raised Chain around town..." i didn't understand what the meant. Over all in chapter six i had a hard time figuring out what was going through paps mind and why he wants to take Huck's money so bad. He could easily get his own job and use his own money to be a dead beat father with no real drive; I understand why Huck wants to run away on his own. When pap goes all crazy in the cabin i didn't understand why it happened or why he thought Huck was the "angle of death".
At the beginning of seven Huck lied to his pap and told him that the reason he had a gun was because of a robber; I don't see why Huck never told him the reason he really had it. I found how Huck used the hog to fake his own murder to be interesting. If i had been in his shoes i wouldn't have even thought about that till it was too late. AFter he leaves to the island I found it slightly amusing that he just kinda relaxed and though about his life in chapter eight. When Jim was introduced on page 41 I thought that his dialog was very difficult to read and understand what he was trying to say to Huck. After a while though i did find it a little easier to read.
