Through out chapter 34 when Tom and Huck are trying to save Jim i felt really wary of Tom. Every time that Huck came up with a perfectly good plan to save Jim Tom threw it out because it was "to easy" or "Not long enough" of a plan. To me it seemed like he was trying to hold off from saving Jim for some reason. I'm kinda glad that they did find out where Jim was though because now they can find him. Near in the end of the chapter i didn't really understand why they pretended not to know Jim.
As chapter 35 continued Tom was still to worried about how difficult it was to complete the task at hand. I still didn't really understand it to want to make saving Jim hard and risking messing it up so all three of them get in trouble is just an altogether dumb idea. But as the chapter i could kinda see that Tom was just obsessed with being like the heroes in his books and was blinded by that to see he was being idiotic to say the least.
I didn't really under stand chapter 37 much i kinda just read it and retained the information with little understanding. When they were messing with the Aunt and the spoons i think thats where i got lost and started to give up in the reading.
